From ICF Movement to ICF Network
Joint statement from January 2026
Ivan and Ines Spoljaric, Pastors of ICF Startup Rijeka, approached the leadership of the ICF Movement in the fall of 2025 with a request to leave the ICF Movement.
Ivan and Ines have grown to incredibly appreciate and love the ICF family. However, since they took over the church plant of Ivan’s dad in October 2024, they experienced in the past year that they needed more time for a healthy transition, apart from the ICF Movement, to grow in their new position as pastors, together with the local leaders.
In a process of mutual exchange, honest conversations, and prayerful consideration, we believe and have decided together as the leadership of ICF Movement and ICF Startup Rijeka that this is the right next step for the church plant in Rijeka.
Ivan and Ines will continue to run the church plant independently under a new name (“Christ The King Church”) from January 1, 2026. We look forward to all that God will still do with them in Rijeka. We continue to be united by our passion for Jesus and His church – even though we are now building it under different names.
As ICF, we are very grateful for the years together and wish Ivan, Ines and the whole community God’s rich blessings for the future. We will miss our Croatian family, yet we will continue our friendship through the ICF Network.
This process is accompanied from the side of the ICF Movement by Arie Spaanderman, Church Group Leader of ICF Startup Rijeka and leader of ICF in the Netherlands. Please feel encouraged to contact him directly with any further questions (arie@icf-leiden.nl).
