Why Jesus?

Maybe you are asking yourself: Who is this Jesus really? The Bible says that God loves us and wants a relationship with us. But we often live separated from him – through pride, selfishness, or simply because we go our own way. The Bible calls this separation “sin”; it is like a deep chasm between us and God.

But God did not want to leave us there. He built a bridge: Jesus Christ. Through his death and resurrection, he made the way to God open. He overcame the separation so that you can come home – into the arms of your heavenly Father.

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life.”
– Mark 10:45

Are you ready for the first step?

You do not need any special prior knowledge to talk to God. You can simply invite him. If you want, you can pray this simple prayer – quietly or out loud:

“Jesus Christ, come into my life. Forgive me for keeping you out of my life until now. Thank you for giving your life for me. I surrender the leadership of my life to you and trust that you will guide me. My life belongs to you. Amen.”
